Women in an Insecure World: Violence against Women &endash; Facts, Figures and Analysis
edited by Marie Vlachova and Lea Biason

It shows the gravity of the consequences of this violence for families, communities and societies and presents evidence of women's resilience against adversity and contribution to peacemaking. It also contains valuable recommendations that aim to make the world a more secure place for women.2005. ISBN 92 9222 028 4. 335 pages. WE724. $34.95.
